Error Reporting

We collect error reports and crash data through Sentry, which is hosted in Europe to comply with data protection regulations. This data includes:

• Application version and operating system information
• General usage patterns (no personal data)

We only collect technical error data - no personal information, files, or user content is collected.

How We Use Your Information

The error data we collect is used exclusively for:

• Identifying and fixing bugs in the application

Application Permissions and Local System Access

Pausitive requires certain system permissions to function effectively as a productivity and break reminder application. The app runs with full trust permissions to provide the following features:

System Tray Integration

Pausitive runs in your system tray for background productivity monitoring. This allows the app to:

• Provide continuous break reminders without interrupting your workflow
• Display quick access controls and status information
• Run silently in the background while you work

Idle Detection

The application monitors system idle time to intelligently pause timers when you're away from your computer:

• Automatically pauses break timers when you step away
• Resumes monitoring when you return to work
• Ensures accurate tracking of your actual work time

Window Management

Pausitive manages application windows to provide effective break reminders and focus sessions:

• Displays break reminder overlays at appropriate times
• Creates focused work environments during sessions
• Ensures break notifications are visible and effective

Startup Launch

The application can start automatically with your system for seamless productivity workflow:

• Begins monitoring your work sessions immediately upon startup
• Ensures consistent break reminders throughout your workday
• Maintains your productivity habits without manual intervention

Data Storage and Security

All error data is processed and stored by Sentry within the European Union, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other European data protection laws.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Polar.sh, a third-party payment processor. We do not store or have access to your payment information. Please refer to Polar.sh's privacy policy for information about how they handle your payment data.

License Verification

License checks are performed through secure API calls to Cloudflare Workers. These requests contain only your license key and are used solely to verify the validity of your Pausitive license.

Data Retention

Error data is retained for a maximum of 90 days for debugging purposes, after which it is automatically deleted from our systems.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and other applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of any inaccurate data
